Bentus
High God of Pleasure

Lord River Listor: Entek 49 (The Oroninae)
Jofam, the drunken son of Bentus, comes to feast upon fish.  Troubles ensue.

Bentus: Entek 54 (Return of the High Gods)
The god of drunkards arrives in Pelanda, heralded by Iredana and his mead cart, cymbals clashing and brass bells ringing.

War of Light and Darkness: Entek 89 (Historical Pelanda)
Priests of Bentus (and all other High Gods) are kicked out of Yuthuppa over a dispute between the cults of Turos and Lodril.

Bentus: Enc-1 58 (Gods and Goddesses of the Lunar Empire)
Bentus is worshipped jointly with Adayan by aproximately 1,000 worshippers in Peloria. Both are Pelandan deities of "indulgence, drunkenness, and sex."
They brought the cities of Pelanda back to life twice - once in the early Pelandan era and once "when Denegeria returned to life" - the Dawn.
The cult has been oppressed many times due to "the frenzied nature of the cult, often fatal to participants."

Bisos fights the DediZoraRu (corpse blue men).  The Wind Goddess (Entekos?) helps. Bisos is slain by IvinZoraRu but returns from death.    Made UpelviDedi (Bounty of All Mankind) from the pieces of IvinZoraRu (the blue god). Irrigation invented?

Bisos Selects His Folk: Entek 83 (The Bisos Cycle)
Myth of the Greater Darkness. 
Bisos favors bold King SerArba and leads the bisoae to conquer their ancestral homeland of Vanstal.
Those who stayed behind were the folk of the "Hide and Starve Cities."

The Return of Bisos: Entek 84 (The Bisos Cycle)
The Herd Kings of Vanstal (bisoae) saw the planets return to the sky, they returned to Pelanda near Tawenos and founded five cities.

Carmanos and Bisos: Entek 89 (Historical Pelanda)
The Bisoae priests summoned Bisos to fight Carmanos soon after his arrival in Brinnus.  The Prophet was victorious, and sent Bisos to the Underworld. The Bisosae were reduced to abject servitude.

The story of Carmanos and Bisos is repeated here with added details - Bisos returned from the underworld when Carmanos used the "Dethronement of the Unjust" ritual, which Bisos had first performed. The Bull Emperors: Entek 91 (Historical Pelanda)
Purush of Vanstal used the Bisos ritual of dethronement to become Shahtavar, Shah of Carmania.  "In this way he rediscovered the ancient kingship of Pelanda and he rediscovered the sacred rites which had been lost since the reign of Emperor Gartemirus."

Worshipped by 40,000 in Eastern Carmania and Bindle
He is the Right Hand of Idovanus, a Noble Ancestor to some, founder of many temples, a god of soldiers, and the god of Carmanian freeholders. 
His cult is the Protector of the Shah (now Moonson).

Farmers worship Bisos the Freeholder. "The hard-working farmer, independent but dutiful. Affinities: Bull, Farming, Fief Management.

Carmanos
The Prophet, Lawbringer, The First Shah
Carmanos and Bisos: Entek 89 (Historical Pelanda)
When Carmanos revealed the Higher Truths of Idovanus, the Bisosae called their god down upon the Prophet. Carmanos slew the Bull God, and sent him to the underworld. The Bisosae lived on in abject servitude.

The Prophet: Entek 90 (Historical Pelanda)
"It is the nature of Light to follow Darkness." ~ Carmanos
Carmanos liberated the land.
Carmanos "brought Balance again in a new way."
The Prophet recognized the unseen power of Idovanus, and liberated Him, exalting him above all others and revealing him to be the greater power behind Cosmic Order.
Carmanos used the "Dethronement of the Unjust" ritual (of Bisos and the Blue King) to force the Spolite emperor into open confrontation. After this, Bisos is accepted as a Good God and the Bisosae are free.

The Stranger

Fall of the House of Virtue: Entek 61 (Return of the High Gods)
Daak abuses Dendara's hospitality and takes her Virtue.

The Dead Sky: Entek 63 (Darkness and Resurrection)
Daak steals the sun, and Entekos dies.

Daak the Stranger: ILH-1 39 (Homeland: Pelanda)
"Daak is the Thief Who Came from Outside, a taker and killer who knows no shame."
His affinities are Deception and Theft.
"Those who worship Daak are not merely criminals, they are parasites that undermine the unity of Pelandan society."

Daxdarius
Heroic ancestor, God of War.

The Daxdarius Epic: Entek 38
He was warleader of the city of Peldre in eastern Pelanda.
He liberated "Pelanda" from the Blue People and defeated the Andam Horde.
He is stated to be living during the reign of Gartemerius, for whom he caused almost constant trouble.
Daxdarius is said to have promoted the Cult of Naveria and its distinctive building style.
Daxdarius forced a place for himself among the High Gods with the help of JagaNatha.
Note that the High Gods were not considered so during the previous (Wendarian) age. The High Gods were revealed as such by Idomon the Prophet.

Great War God, men wore armor for the first time. Friend with a giant cyclops.

Daxdarius: Enc-1 59 (Gods and Goddesses of the Lunr Empire)
He recieves sacrifice from 3,000 worshippers in Eastern Carmania and Doblian.
His worshippers are military regiments and the citizens of Peldre.
He organized the Pelandans into city-states, and its soldiers into armies.
He fought the Bull-folk and drove the Blue People into Lake Oronin.

DenegEria
"Being Alive", Daughter of Life, Life Bearer
Birth of the World: Entek 4 (Provaria)
DenegEria is the first being born, the daughter of EthElsor (the First Ancestress).
"Furthermore, in all Pelanda, all women born of mothers are said to have a denegeria to protect them when they are little girls."

FaElsor and the Serpent: Entek 10 (Wendaria)
DenegEria was born of the union of FaElsor (the First Mother) and Ursturburn the Serpent (the life-power that ripens).
She is said to later be kidnapped by GanEstoro, the Dark God, thus causing the world to grow baren. She was saved by VenegDel, the Burning Hare, the fire that burns within people, who is the son of Turos.

The Eldest Peoples: Entek 12 (Wendaria)
"The things which we humans can couple productively with are all human people. Humans are those creatures with whom our kind bears children. We are thus all the same this way - in the way that we manifest the DenegEria and the Eldest Powers. We are the People of Life (DaviEria)."

The Gods Third Error:
Entek 36 (The Three Errors)
Vogestes truely saw killing for the first time. "He felt the knife as DenegEria was carved apart by the gods, and he wept as her blood soaked into the earth."

Mother of 80: Entek 46 (High Pelanda)
DenegEria is said to be the first child of Oria, the Great Mother, by Turos. "The golden child blessed Oria with her sacred presence, and all of the Striped Ones worshipped her."

The Freed Sky:
Entek 67 (Darkness and Resurection)
Turos ended the Darkness by freeing the Musician, "leading his lover and bringing music back to the world." Later, the Musician played before a lightless cave mouth and DenegEria emerged to restore life to the world. All the gods and goddesses of the land followed Her back into the world.

The Marching Scourge: Entek 83 (The Bisos Cycle)
"After DenegEria was murdered, all of the world went into mourning. The trees, rocks, and beasts of the wild all wept. If something had connections with Life in any way, it wept. Thus, only some demons, devils, and evil people did not weep."

Derdromus
Dark god of the Underworld.  Son of KaCharal, brother of Turos.

ViSaruDaran and BesedEria: Entek 17 (Wendaria)
ViSaruDaran (Turos) is captured, freed by Derdromus' wife (Azerlo), and then defeats him in combat. Thus, BesedEria (Oria) is freed from the underworld.

Geneology of the AroTurru: Entek 20 (Wendaria)
KaCharal is the father of VisaruDaran (Turos) and DerDromus.

Immortality Lost: Entek 37 (Three Errors)
Derdromus prevents humanity from learning the secret of Immortality.

Turos: Entek 45 (High Pelanda)
Nentarbus (Deep Under) lays with Azerlo who gives birth to 8,000 children at once.
Derdromus makes off with the Thirteenth Tribe, and Turos pursues him to the Underworld.
Turos seduces Azerlo, defeats Derdromus, and makes the underworld his home.

ViSaruDaran and BesedEria: Entek 17 (Wendaria)
ViSaruDaran (Turos) rescues HerthaElsor (Entekos), and her sisters BesedEria (Oria) and Gorgorma, from Derdromus. They are the daughters of Jenarthus (Jernotia). ViSaruDaran never 'shared his heat' with HerthaElsor because she knew better and always refused.

Winter, and the Food Contest: Entek 33 (Three Errors)
The first winter.  Explains Spring/Fall.

Jernotia and Kagardu: Entek 44 (High Pelanda)
Jernotia defeats a demon by giving it what it asks for.

She is the Goddess of the Air, especially the pleasant summer season.
She rules over Doburdun (thunder), Rafelstora (rain), Walindum (winter), and some lesser spirits.
She is the High Goddess of Virtue of the Jernotian Ring in Old Carmania, Naveria, and Darsen.
Entekos is associated with the Planet Dendara.

Mythic tool of the Gods, and modern ritual tool of the Magi.

Ersoon Dance, Second Pairing/Burning: Entek 29 (The Great Dance)
A ritual dance where fire is related to truth and the heart.

Ersonmoda, the Sun God: Entek 44 (High Pelanda)
Idovanus creates the sun, or "Holy Firekeeper" as a temporary holy structure or model.

Turos: Entek 45 (High Pelanda)
KaCharal, The Shaper, father of Turos, places the bright ersoon in the center of the sky. Thus, KaCharal appears to be another "mask" of Idovanus.

Footnote 2: Entek 45 (High Pelanda)
The ancients made ersoons from sand paintings or conjurative sculptures which were "assembled to contain the task at hand, and destroyed afterwards."

GanEstoro / Ganesatarus
The God of Evil, Lord of Flies, Prince of Darkness, Father of Lies

Unity List Text Notes: FS 94 (Carmanian Sources)
Ganesatarus, the Dark God, is born from the womb of Uleria, the First Goddess. His Younger twin was Idovanus, the Light God. Ganesatarus is the god of dissention. Ganesatarus quarreled his way into being born first, so Dark always proceeds Light. In the battle, Ganesatarus (as the Dark Dragon) plucks out Idovanus' eye - which is now the Sun.

GanEstoro: Enc-1 61 (Gods and Goddesses of the Lunar Empire)
GanEstoro was formed where Idovanus was not looking.
He is the opposite of Idovanus. His tools are "disobedience, evil, cruelty, darkness, ignorance, hunger, worship, death, and sin."
His mythical devotees were YarGan the Devourer, Kazkurtum the Destroyer, and Fronalako the Devil Sorcerer.

The Devourer

ViSaruDaran (Turos) rescues Gorgorma and here sisters, BesedEria (Oria) and HerthaElsor (Entekos), from Derdromus. They are the daughters of Jenarthus (Jernotia). ViSaruDaran (Turos) never 'shared his heat' with Gorgorma because even he would never attempt sex with her.

Idojartos rescued Turos and Oria on her fourth kidnapping.

The gods choose Idojartos, son of Turos, to free the animals from GanEstoro after the dawn.

(stages 15 &16)  Idojartos has no Hagu contacts.

Idojartos was born at Hagu (Natha's Well), which was the place where "the pole was first rubbed" (Fire invented?).

Jernotia aids Turos in resisting the Kingdom of Logic at Kendesos.  Idomon is conceived.

Uleria: Entek 55 (Return of the High Gods)
Idomon marries Delderia, the daughter of Urenes and Turuka.

Idomon the Prophet: Entek 56 (Return of the High Gods)
Idomon preaches the way of the High Gods to Pelanda.
The Ersoon is mentioned.

Idovanus and Vanu: Entek 58 (Return of the High Gods)
Idomon is taken captive by sorcerers in Borangu, which is then destroyed.
The image of Idovanus and Vanu is the only part of the city to survive. It later rolls to Brinnus upon the arrival of Carmanos the Prophet.

Gartemirus the Wise: Entek 59 (Return of the High Gods)
Idomon's son is Turenus the Roadbuilder.  His grandson is Gartemirus the Wise.

First, there was Fire (above) and Water (below).  The contact of these two created "Heat inside Matter" (KaCharal - the Shaper) and "Matter inside Heat" (DaluAsuTersa - fuel).  KaCharal used DaluAsuTersa to create the world.

The chart shows VioVanus as the son of Turos and Oria.

Genealogy of the AroTurru: Entek 20 (Wendaria)
KaCharal is the father of VisaruDaran (Turos) and DerDromus - among many others.

VioVanus, "the blue-feathered flyer", is one of the AroTurru - sons of ViSarta (first chieftain and son of ViSaruDaran) and TuKaruma (Best Woman in the World).

Carmanos recognized Idovanus as Romanakirn (the Wizard Estrakor's One Mind concept of the Invisible God) - the Immanent Creator of the universe who could do no Evil.
Once his "attachment to sorcerery" was shed Idovanus was recognized as the "mystic Source of Aratvu" - the cosmic power of cohesiveness. This power is balanced by Derita, the cosmic power of dissolution. [Does this mean that GanEstoro represents Derita? - KPM]

Jaranthir, Aronius
The Red Knight
Aronius Jaranthir: ILH-1 43 (Homeland: Carmania)
A short cult writeup including affinities (Hero, Knight, and Lord) and sample feats.
Aronius Jaranthir was a karmanoi from Bindle. He is also said to have been a hazar. The entry requirements for the cult say "Must be of the karmanoi caste, which includes hazar (knights) and karmanoi (nobles)."
He converted to the lunar way and was reborn in 4/50 (1459 ST or 709 AC).
He heroquested to find Sheng Seleris' weakness, and found a weapon which Moonson used to defeat Sheng.

Rides chariot, first horses. He is a great negotiator, and brings peace by creating an intertribal council.

Recieves sacrifice from 7,000 worshippers in Old Carmania.
He was a foreigner who reformed the ancient Kingdom of Garthum.
He reinstituted the worship of the Jernotian Ring.

ViSaruDaran and BesedEria: Entek 17 (Wendaria)
ViSaruDaran (Turos) saves the daughters of Jernotia - BesedEria (Oria), HerthaElsor (Entekos), and Gorgorma, from Derdromus. ViSaruDaran married BesedEria and they had many children - the DiDalaTurru, or Earth Walkers.

War is Invented: Entek 34 (Three Errors)
DerOrios (Oria?) calls "Brightface" to defend the people, and he usurps power.

The Father of Mountains: Entek 44 (High Pelanda)
BesedEria asked her husband to create mountains.

Jernotia and Kagardu: Entek 44 (High Pelanda)
Jernotia defeats a demon, Kagardu, by giving it what it asks for. One of the things Kagardu wanted was Oria.

Turos: Entek 45 (High Pelanda)
Turos defeats Derdromus and frees Oria and her sisters.

Turos sought a wife, and sang out his challenge to the goddesses. They had to show that they could contain the basket, acorn, and needle. Only Oria could do this. None-the-less, they were together more than apart.

Lists Vogestes as son of Turos and TuKaruma (best woman who ever lived). "the Cast Off, the Outsider, the Inspired One, the Opener, the Fire Magician, the Stick Man.  Lead the first tribe from Fire Mountain.

"He is the Great Earth Grandfather, the first Ergantae [Earth Walkers - Moderi?], who is beloved by all women and obeyed by all men.  He shaped the rivers and mountains, and he made the first plants and animals."  He is the favorite son of KaCharal(shaper) and ReDalaMa ("Our earth mother, the terrestrial Goddess from whom all life comes").  Also called ViTersu - Great Masculine-Power.

ViSaruDaran the Painter: Entek 16 (Wendaria)
ViSaruDaran paints the surface world, plants and animals.

ViSaruDaran and BesedEria: Entek 17 (Wendaria)
ViSaruDaran gets his wife from the underworld. Uses his heat to heal.

Art: Derdromus Conquored: Entek 18 (Wendaria)
Derdromus came upon a sacred gathering in the Surface World which was guarded by a young Turos. A fight ensued, and Turos ripped off Derdromus' arms, legs, and ears. The remains were burried for a while, but stood erect and begins to regenerate when men were evil. Heroes have appeared to tear it apart again but none have buried it.

After Vogestes (son of Turos) taught the people how to live with guilt from hunting, men and women met in "the Bright Fields" where Turos ruled from his smoking tent.

4. YarGan: FS 95 (Carmanian Sources - Unity List)
Called King Blue, he chose evil. Worshipped Ganesatarus, founded the City of Sorcerers, and made the masters of boats, called blue men, and their secret underwater fortress.

Notes:
Names in the "OneTwoThree" format are Wendarian (Antediluvian) forms and predate Pelandan myths.   Forms of these myths are sometimes taught as Pelandan myths (ie ViSaruDaran myths told as stories of Turos).

Belintar's Book was written by the Pharaoh of the Holy Country, and is based on the God Learner mono-myth.
